Terms of service
Last updated: October 2026
These terms apply to every booking with PBMV (The Photobooth Company of Metro Vancouver). Your signed contract sets out the details of your event. If anything in your contract differs from these terms, the contract applies.
Booking
Your date is confirmed only after we receive your signed contract and a deposit of 25% of the total. The deposit is non-refundable and is credited toward your total.
Payment
The balance is due 14 days before your event. Prices are plus applicable taxes.
Rescheduling
You can move your booking to a new date once, free of charge, with at least 30 days’ notice, subject to availability.
Cancellation
To cancel, let us know in writing at info@pbmv.ca. What you owe depends on how far ahead of your event you cancel:
- 30 or more days before: we keep the deposit and nothing else is owed.
- 15–29 days before: 50% of the total is owed.
- 14 days or less before: 100% of the total is owed.
Extra time
Extra time is $150 per additional hour. You can arrange it in advance, or add it on the night if the attendant and equipment are available.

Damage
You are responsible for damage to our equipment caused by your guests, beyond normal wear and tear.
Our guarantee and liability
If our equipment fails during your event and we can’t fix it on site, we’ll refund the booked time that was lost. Our total liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking.
Photo use
We may use photos from your event for marketing, such as on our website and Instagram, unless you opt out in writing. See our privacy policy for more.
Circumstances beyond our control
If severe weather, illness, an emergency or a similar event outside our control stops us from attending, we’ll try to send a replacement attendant or move your booking to a new date. If we can’t, we’ll refund all payments you’ve made.
